ACHIEF STRUCTURE

ACHIEF is divided into nine work packages, following the general structure presented below.

WP1: Project Management

Lead by CEA, this work package groups all activities concerning project management. All procedures of monitoring and coordination will be implemented to ensure expected results of ACHIEF.

WP2: Computational modelling and AI

VTT will lead this work package, which aims to develop a toolbox based on Artificial Intelligence technology. By providing environment, chemical, physics criteria, the software will design innovative materials with improved

  • High temperature strength and wear resistance
  • High temperature corrosion and oxidation resistance
  • Creep properties

WP3: PDC coatings for HT corrosion protection

CEA will lead WP3, during which PDC coatings, defined in WP2, will be developed and tested at lab-scale. From those tests will emerge a list of compositions and guidelines to fabricate the PDC coatings.

WP4: HESAs for HT strength and wear resistance

AIMEN will lead WP4, during which HESAs, defined in WP2, will be developed and tested at lab-scale. From those tests will emerge a list of compositions and guidelines to fabricate the HESAs.

WP5: Optimized Cr-steels for creep resistance

Tecnalia will lead WP3, during which novel Cr-steels, defined in WP2, will be developed and tested at lab-scale. From those tests will emerge a list of compositions and guidelines to fabricate the new Cr-steels.

WP6: Sensors development and embedding

WP6 will be lead by ENGIONIC, it is dedicated to the development of robust high temperature and strain fibre optics sensors and advanced electrochemical sensors to be embedded in the selected materials components that will be implemented during the demonstration phase.

WP7: Pilot test materials assessment

Lead by Constellium, the WP7 consists of testing the innovative materials developed in WP3, WP4 and WP5 in their specific use case. The global aim of this work package is to demonstrate and validate at industrial scale performance of the novel materials designed.

WP8: Dissemination and communication

PNO leads the WP8, it has the objective to match the project results with market opportunities: meaning to make the project’s work known widely.

WP9: Exploitation strategy and business case

WP9 lead by Tecnalia, aims at ensuring successful exploitation and establishment of the basis for the market uptake of the project results.
